Company Profile

When people meet Julie, they are often surprised to learn she is an accountant. During the first meeting with a client, Julie spends as much time learning about their life and goals as she does learning about their tax and financial situation. Although Julie is a proficient number cruncher, it’s the people she enjoys the most, and it shows in her personal attention to each client’s needs. Julie is at her best assisting her clients in achieving their business and personal goals. She has helped client’s reach numerous goals, including opening a new business, increasing profitability, saving for a new home and reducing their debt load. She takes personal pride in the success of her clients.

Julie has over 25 years of experience working with small businesses and individual clients. After putting herself through college at the University of Illinois at Chicago preparing tax returns, she began her full time career in the Small Business Tax Division of Arthur Andersen & Co. She left Andersen in 1989 to head the tax department of M & J Wilkow, Ltd., a mid-sized real estate firm. While at M & J Wilkow Julie oversaw a tax department responsible for over 200 inter-related tax returns. Additionally she was intimately involved in the acquisition, disposition, refinancing and structuring of all real estate in the $500 million portfolio.

In 2000 Julie decided to focus her energy on the right hemisphere of her brain by returning to school. In 2004 she received a Bachelors of Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She continues to maintain an active painting career, exhibiting her work throughout the US. While attending art school she worked part time for a small CPA firm and reconnected with her joy in working with small business owners and individuals. She continued to work part time for Acciari Levy & Rabyne LLC while developing her own practice. In 2009 Julie opened her current office to serve her small business and individual clients.
